Opera House by *robcherry the suggester writes, "The photographer has chosen to capture Sydney Opera House from a somewhat unconventional perspective and the effect is stunning. It's amazing how such a well-known building looks so different when viewed from this angle!" ( Suggested by GraphiteColours and Featured by tiganusi )

Im glad the others like it. Sorry i don't.  So many of your other works are amazing, for me not this one. Im sure you could have dont better !

Having grown up with this icon, and everybody has their take on SOH, when i was first studing photography, my teachers kept getting us taking photos of the opera house, the possibilites, some work some dont.

This reminds me so much of the great prow of a ship, cutting through the mist. Very original take on a woefully-over-photographed-location. Props for that!

Have you been lucky to catch it without people or is it just the result of long exposure?

Using black and white for this is great, it makes the whole thing look like a slightly sinister machine. Or in perhaps a face mask reminiscent of Darth Vader. I like what you've done with the sky. It really emphasises the shapes.
